These advertising methods are actively employed by Robert Elder Software Inc.
Your information is not sold (because it is more valuable to keep for ourselves), however, it may shared with advertising platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, or Linked in order to create effective marketing campaigns. In the case of disclosing emails to third-party advertisers, most upload formats accept hashed email addresses, so these platforms don't learn anything new about you unless you are already a member of their service using the same email, or if they obtain your email from elsewhere.
You should expect that any and all information provided by you passively or explicitly will be used to create targeted advertising toward you, unless a prior agreement explicitly prohibits such use.
